The MG App is not connecting to my car and never has. I logged the issue two months ago, but there doesn’t seem to be much happening to fix it.

Some people in other countries seem to have had similar issues. Some of them fixed it by clearing the app cache, reinstalling the app or even by disconnecting the battery of the car for a while. Tried all that, it hasn’t worked. The battery idea makes some sense. The car is apparently connected via Vodafone, which is the same as my phone. If I travel too far from home, I occasionally have to turn the phone off and on to get data working again. I suspect the car did connect at some point, although not with a good GPS reading. The Geo Fence app shows the car in a creek in a nature reserve, which while obviously wrong is not too far from home and not where the car originally came from.

There is a new look app and after some re-prompting on my support call, it finally works!
