I had the issue where the music volume in Apple CarPlay was loud, but the Siri announcement was very quiet. It doesn’t let you set the volume on the phone when CarPlay is active. The solution was relatively simple, you just need to change the volume while Siri is talking. Asking Siri something that takes a while to answer can be helpful here.
